Our Mission

At Online Counselling Australia (OCA), we believe in early intervention and accessible mental health care for all children and families. Our mission is to provide compassionate, evidence-based online counselling that supports children through play-based therapy and tailored interventions—helping them build resilience, regulate emotions, and navigate life’s challenges.
Using secure telehealth technology, we ensure children, parents, and families across urban, rural, and remote Australia have access to specialist support from the comfort of their own home. Whether a child is struggling with anxiety, social difficulties, school stress, or neurodivergence, we are here to help.

Our Approach

We specialize in child-focused, developmentally appropriate therapy, using interactive, engaging, and research-backed techniques to help young minds thrive.

Early Intervention & Emotional Well-Being The earlier challenges are addressed, the better the long-term outcomes. Our therapy sessions focus on:

• Emotional regulation & resilience-building
• Anxiety, stress, and confidence support
• Social skills & peer relationship challenges
• Support for neurodiverse children (Autism, ADHD, sensory processing issues, etc.)
• Helping children process major life transitions (family changes, school transitions, grief & loss)

Play-Based & Creative Therapy Children express themselves best through play and creativity. Our therapy integrates:

• Online play therapy (storytelling, role-play, and digital tools)
• Art-based and expressive therapies
• Cognitive-behavioural strategies adapted for children
• Interactive, engaging sessions designed to keep young clients engaged in therapy

Parent & Family Involvement

We work closely with parents and caregivers, equipping families with practical strategies to support their child’s emotional well-being.
School & Educational Collaboration
We partner with schools, educators, and allied professionals to provide guidance, professional development, and intervention strategies for students facing academic or emotional struggles.
